Bringing Manufacturing Home. Empowering Rural America.

USBME helps American entrepreneurs, farmers, and rural communities build the manufacturing operations the country needs — with the technology, equipment, and partnerships to make it happen.

The United States Bureau of Manufacturing Expansion (USBME) is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to reshoring manufacturing operations to the United States. We connect American entrepreneurs, farmers, and rural communities with the technology, equipment, and partnerships needed to build domestic manufacturing capacity and we do it by teaching people a concrete, repeatable process rather than just cheerleading for the idea of reshoring.

Reshoring is no longer a fringe idea. Government incentives, rising overseas labor costs, and supply-chain risk have pushed thousands of companies to reconsider where their products are made. Industry trackers such as the Reshoring Initiative report well over a million manufacturing jobs announced through reshoring and foreign direct investment over the past decade, with growth accelerating in high- and medium-tech sectors. USMEB exists to make sure rural communities and small entrepreneurs, not just large corporations can participate in that shift.
